Yumiko Aoi is a partner in the Corporate Practice and Antitrust Practice groups of the firm. She represents international and domestic clients of all sizes in a wide range of industries, with particular focus on the tech industry. In her role as a trusted business advisor, Yumiko regularly counsels clients on general corporate and business law matters, including day-to-day preventive advice, labor and employment disputes, recalls, consumer protection, and industry-specific regulations for tech, pharma, and other clients. She regularly advises Japanese companies seeking to expand operations overseas, and represents foreign corporations and investors seeking business opportunities in Japan. Over the years, Yumiko has acquired substantial and practical insight on Western and Japanese business customs and, by drawing on this experience and expertise, can assist clients in realizing their strategic business objectives and goals. Yumiko is also active in the firm’s Pro Bono efforts, and as a member of Children’s Law Committee of the Dai-ichi Tokyo Bar Association, frequently represents disadvantaged children in need of legal assistance.
