Practice Areas

Noriko Higashizawa has extensive experience counseling global companies of all sizes from emerging companies to major public companies across many industries, including high-tech and IT. Her practice encompasses a full spectrum of corporate matters, including labor and employment law, cross-border, unfair competition, trademark and commercial litigation with a particular focus on human resource policies and procedures, day-to-day preventive advice and litigation and dispute resolution in all areas of employment law. Ms. Higashizawa has successfully tried many cases and resolved numerous other cases in a variety of ADR proceedings, including collective bargaining and possesses considerable experience as coordinating counsel in multi-jurisdiction litigation. Her extensive knowledge of western and Japanese customs and business practices has assisted her in effectively providing counsel to European and U.S. clients. Prior to joining City-Yuwa, Ms. Higashizawa was a partner at a major U.S. law firm.
